As Canadian Research Chair in Metabolism and Nutrition at the University of Toronto and St. Michael's Hospital, he has published numerous peer reviewed research articles which have proven the efficacy of plant-based diets in the prevention and reversal of type 2 diabetes and heart disease.
Joel Fuhrman, M.D. is a board-certified family physician, author, and one of North America's leading experts on nutritional medicine. He addresses the general public, other physicians, and has lectured for the American Heart Association and the U.S. Olympic Team. Brenda Davis, Registered Dietitian, is an internationally acclaimed speaker and clinical nutrition specialist, best-selling author of five books, including Defeating Diabetes, and past chair of the Vegetarian Nutrition Dietetic Practice Group of the American Dietetic Association. Ms. Davis is currently working as the Nutrition Director and Health Educator of a diabetes research intervention project in the Marshall Islands.
